HLTH 5203 [0.5 credit] Social Dimensions of Aging


This course introduces students to social gerontology, cultural and psychological dimensions of aging. Topics include issues such as caregiving, ageism, palliative care, and policy impacts on older adults. Students will examine holistic, person-centered care across diverse health settings that serve the growing older adult population.
Includes: Experiential Learning Activity
Prerequisite(s): permission of the department.
Also offered at the undergraduate level, with different requirements, as HLTH 4203, for which additional credit is precluded.
