ARCH 5331 [0.5 credit] Modernism and Global Urbanism


Thematic survey of cities, modernist ideas, projects, and movements, considering their theoretical, historical, and practical expressions in urban morphology and housing typologies, and their relation to larger societal and environmental questions, locally and globally. Acquisition of critical reading, writing, and representation skills through case-study.
Precludes additional credit for ARCH 5010, ARCH 2300.
Also offered at the undergraduate level, with different requirements, as ARCH 2331, for which additional credit is precluded.
